FM April 30: ‘Presumed Incompetent’, Campus Assault & Reel Resquache

Are you ready to explode the myth that we live in a “post-identity” world, that somehow the world of academia is more evolved when it comes to race, gender and class?  A new book — Presumed Incompetent: The Intersections of Race and Class for Women in Academia” is a pathbreaking account of how those intersections deeply and painfully affect the working lives of academic women of color – who find themselves navigating the often hostile terrain of higher education. We’re joined by one of the editors, Carmen G. Gonzalez, and contributor Deena Gonzalez, Associate Provost at Loyola Marymount University.
