The First 100: 50 Years of Chicanas Changing History
Professor González is Senior University Fellow and Professor of History at Gonzaga University where she served as Provost and Senior Vice President (2019 – 2022). She was Associate Provost at Loyola Marymount University (2011-2019) and chaired the Department of Chicana/o Studies (2002-2011) where she also chaired the Department of Chicana/o Studies. Her publications with Oxford University Press include: The Spanish-Mexican Women of Santa Fe, 1820 – 1880 and (as co-editor-in-chief) The Oxford Encyclopedia of Latinos and Latinas in the U.S. A native of New Mexico, her fifty plus articles focus on the recovery of Mexican descent women into the historical record.
